I Bl**dy Give Up!!!

I'm sick to death now of planning jobs and being scuppered by the weather.
Yesterday within half an hour of doing my blog post the sunny breezy morning turned into a cold and wet one. It rained heavily for the rest of the day........and it's raining this morning.
It was so cold last night that I seriously contemplated taking a hot water bottle to bed but opted for slinging the duvet back on top of the light throw instead.

Sandy asked if we drink tea in our house.........oh yes we do Sandy.
I am horrible in a morning until I have had my cup of tea.....Twinings Everyday for preference but I'll drink anything as long as it's good and strong. I have one coffee in the morning and then the rest of the day it's tea.

As it was so cold last night I dug some turkey mince out of the freezer to defrost and today I will turn it into a turkey shed pie.....lol.......cottage pie but made with turkey. DD got soaked through yesterday and it looks like she will again today so something hot for tea should go down well. Also Miss Doodle will be here and she loves cottage pie and gravy.

A bit of a flick around with a duster and then a quick hoover when hubby gets up and that's about all my housework for today. I don't know what I'll do with the rest of the day as I still haven't got my sewing mojo back. I don't know where it's gone or why but I 'm sure it will turn up again soon.

Well I hope your day isn't as grey and miserable as it is here.
Thanks for stopping by today.

  1. The rain arrived here yesterday afternoon and stayed most of the evening, then this morning it started again, suppose to fade out this afternoon, I am thinking about going down the cabin but its still just a thought

  2. Unfortunately the weather here is also grey, wet and miserable. I managed some of my mileage earlier, had a quick shower and a coffee. Like you, the rest of the day will be spent pottering about and doing house work. Oh, and there's a large pile of ironing with my name in it. Your cottage pie sounds like a good plan on a day like today. X

Gosh the weather sounds grim. Not fun for anyone on holiday at home.

Enjoy your turkey cottage pie and visit with little Miss Doodle. Thanks for posting a column every day. I always look forward to reading what you have been up to.

    Take care.
