A Bag For The Birthday Girl!!!

Sorry for being MIA yesterday.
I nipped out to Hobbycraft for a while as I needed some thread and some other bits and then when I got home I had to get cracking on a shopping bag that Ruby had requested after I bought her some unicorn fabric when we went shopping last weekend.

It has been delivered this morning when we went for her birthday breakfast and she was thrilled with it....and the small gifts we gave her so that she had something to open.
DDIL loved it too and has asked me to make her one to use a bag for carrying her lunch as I have made a smaller version for Ruby so it doesn't drag on the floor.
I'll start it today as it's the perfect day for sewing with us being in the middle of a snow/hail/rain blizzard. I just need to sort out some fabric and lining.

Andy is cooking lunch bless him so all I have to do is run the hoover over after lunch because Smudge has been snarfing carrots again and he's a very messy boy.

I hope you are all warm and snuggly in this miserable weather.

  1. The bag is fabulous. Hardly surprising DDIL has requested one for herself.
We've had Wintry showers here today, but have managed to get out for a walk amongst the snow showers. I'm taking Lily to yet another party this afternoon, after which I intend to hunker down with some crochet.
    Happy crafting Sheila. X

I hope you enjoyed your crocheting on a cold and snowy day.

    1. Yes.... I think Ruby has everything you can possibly get with unicorns on but surprisingly she wanted a Barbie silhouette cake which DDIL made for her. She did a beautiful job.

    1. It's curtain/furnishing fabric MM. The stall on Derby market where I get all that kind of fabric has some absolutely stunning ones. It's so hard to resist.

  7. I am hoping to get back to sewing this week, sneezing and computerised sewing machines do not go together. Love the bag fabric, there are lots of Unicorny things in Home Bargains.

  9. Love the bag. I bet Ruby was thrilled with it and her surprises. We have snow as well and this time it seems to be sticking. Don't want to go to bed in case it's all gone when I wake up lol. xx

Ha, ha....we are as bad as each other...I sat in my sewing room with the back yard light on last night watching the snow swirling round in the wind. Great big fat flakes. It made me so happy.
