It's an absolutely gorgeous morning this morning. Sunny but there is a wonderful cool breeze that is is keeping things nice and comfortable.
Andy is outside sloshing preservative on the garden fence and Smudge is snoring very loudly in the living room.
I have just washed and cut up all the fruit I bought yesterday into boxes so that it is all ready to eat and I am just about to put some baking potatoes into the oven to make some filled jackets. They will be filled with tuna, sauteed green peppers and red onions and sweetcorn and will be served with a lime and ginger dressed baby leaf and cucumber salad....just for a change from our normal salad.
Once they are in I am off to the sewing machine for a few hours.
Hope you are all enjoying a bright and breezy day.

Its a little breezy here too but is a lovely day for gardening. The rain has softened the soil so that I was able to dig out and relocate a large bush... Bet Tony doesn't even notice.
ReplyDeleteDo men ever notice anything we do Cherie...lol.

Oooh, you can't beat a jacket potato and that filling sounds delicious.
ReplyDeleteIt's very breezy here just now and I'm hoping my Sunflowers can withstand it. X
The potato filling turned out really nice Jules. So tasty.
DeleteHope your sunflowers are still standing.

Boy that sounds really good. Lucky you, getting time in the sewing room. I just can't seem to fit it in. I work 5 days a week and I run errands on Saturday. Sunday I'm a zombie. I guess I just have to squeeze it in somehow.
ReplyDeleteThey were really good Theresa and I will definitely be doing them again.
DeleteI am very lucky that I have the time to spend sewing and I wish you did too.

A friend and Insewd all day today as she wanted to make bags for gifts. She managed 8 small ones and a book bag for her great nephew. I cut out and pressed and she sewed. All lined and too stitched. We were in the zone!
ReplyDeleteI need to get in the zone today Catriona. One dress partly done and two to go and then I need to start on a quilt for a Christmas gift.

I am a great fan of baked potato and that salad dressing sounds wonderful. It has been blowing a gale here for the last couple of days, my washing was dry in no time at all doing the loop de loop around the clothes line.
ReplyDeleteI only like jacket potatoes if they have had something mixed into them and I never eat the skins. Andy thinks I am mad...lol.
DeleteHope you didn't lose any of your washing in the wind.

Always busy Sheila, I feel I have failed as I don't do half of what you do..
ReplyDeleteI always seem to be doing something Chris but sometimes I just have to take a lazy day.....and today may be one of those days.
