I managed to get one coat of paint on the wall yesterday but it's going to need another one or even two.
No time to do it today as I have been in the kitchen this morning making a pan of homemade bolognese sauce and lunch for Andy and shortly my Brother in Law.....who is still having a really bad time....will be arriving and needing to chat about his latest problems. Is it rude to hope that he will be gone by the time Ruby arrives? It sounds rude but I need my time with my little angel.
Nothing from the vet yet with regards to the diet for Smudge. I have done a little bit of research about homemade food for him and will do more tomorrow when I have more time.
Right I had better go and fill the kettle ready for tea and sympathy.
Have a lovely day.

Not rude at all, Sheila! Your time with Ruby is precious. The decorating must seem like it's neverending - rather you than me. I do homemade food for our Betty - not that she has the problems Smudge has - but if you want any help or want to know what I do, feel free to email me. Hugs x
ReplyDeleteHe was still here when Ruby arrived but left soon after.
DeleteThanks for the offer of help with the homemade food for Smudge. I may well be taking you up on that.

oh dear. keep calm etc!
ReplyDeleteI kept as calm as I could Sue.

I think you just really enjoy your time with Ruby - nothing wrong with that. I hope you get the painting done. It's so frustrating - especially when using the paints that advertise one coat only needed - that's a joke!
ReplyDeleteYou'd think grey would cover cream quite easily but it's not and I agree that the 'one coat' paints are a joke.

Not at all rude, perhaps Andy could explain that there is a time limit and he can not stay beyond that. It is difficult dealing with someone else's problems, just listening to them can make you depressed.
ReplyDeleteI must admit that I felt a bit mean as his situation is quite harrowing. I felt quite drained by the time he went....just after Ruby arrived.

Do find out about the diet for smudge. My neighbor’s dog was in same state re: kidney failure. Home prepared food and all cleared up after a few months. Makes me wonder if first test was accurate...

I definitely will be looking into the homemade diet for Smudge and look at getting him retested in a few months.
DeleteThank you for letting me know about your neighbours dog Joyce. It gives me hope.

Problems are ok to listen to as long as then solutions are found...it's when it's the same problems over and over that really get me down x
ReplyDeleteI think this problem is going to go on for quite some time Jackie unfortunately.

Sorry to read about Smudge. I hope something can be sorted out with his diet.
ReplyDeleteIt's good that BIL feels he can talk about his problems, but sometimes it just leaves you feeling drained doesn't it. Hopefully he will be gone by the time Ruby gets there, and what better pick me up than spending time with her :) xx
I'm looking into making Smudge's food myself Suzanne to see if it will help.
DeleteI am happy that I can be there for BIL but it's a very difficult situation. I think I helped him reach a decision that needed to be made. The next step is up to him.

Sending you a hug in the hop that it will help.
