.....being sent to DDIL and Marlowe this morning.
DDIL phoned this morning to let us know that she and Marlowe wouldn't be joining us for lunch today as poor Marlowe had a fall yesterday and ended up in A&E.
She is fine but DDIL is just emotionally and physically shattered and would like some time to just rest but Ruby is coming for a bit of spoiling as she was very, very upset by the accident.
After lunch we will bring her here for some cuddles with the giggly pigs and hopefully we can deliver her home cheered up a little.
I'll go with Andy when he takes her home just so that I can put my mind at rest with regards to Marlowe.
Lots of cuddling and comforting will be going on today so I have no plans to be doing anything in the way of housework or sewing until I am sure that DDIL and my girls are OK.
Hope you all have a fab Sunday.
Sheila-x-
Sorry to hear about Marlowe. Hope it wasn't too serious and a speedy recovery will be in order. Glad you get to visit with Ruby. Sounds like she could use some extra cuddles.
ReplyDeleteHave a good Sunday - hope the sun is shining!
It seemed pretty serious at the time as it was a head injury but thankfully nowhere as serious as it could have been.
DeleteThe sun has shone all day and it has been very hot-x-
It's so scary when wee ones have an accident, Sheila, and they were wise to have her checked out. I'm sure Ruby will enjoy the time spent with you all and hopefully is able to eat her lunch. You'll feel better after you've seen Marlowe and you DIL. Catriona
ReplyDeleteIt was very scary for my daughter in law as she had to cope with Ruby being hysterical at her little sister being hurt, copious amounts of blood and a screaming baby....by herself as DS was at work.
DeleteAll is much calmer now and Ruby ate a good lunch plus pudding and I feel relieved to have seen Marlowe and DIL-x-
Hope little Marlowe is OK and your DIL soon over the shock.
ReplyDeleteThank you Sue.
DeleteApart from two bumps, a couple of cuts and some bruising Marlowe seems fine and DDIL although still quite emotional is calming down-x-
Dear Sheila,
ReplyDeleteHow scary that poor little Marlowe needed a visit to the A&E - hugs to your DDIL who probably is feeling terrible. Accidents happen to quickly with little ones.
Glad you are close enough to take Ruby to lunch and back to yours for a cuddle. It will help her recover.
Sandy
It was very scary for DDIL but Marlowe must be a bouncy baby as she doesn't seem to have suffered any ill effects after being thoroughly checked out at the hospital.
DeleteRuby is much happier now that she has had her lunch, cuddled with Ganma and the gigglies and gone home with a little gift from Ganma and Grandad.
I am so glad that we live close enough to be of some use-x-
Oh dear...hope all is well for everybody. Lots of cuddles required. x
ReplyDeleteAll is well now Jackie thank you. Lots of cuddles dispensed to all involved and things have calmed down.
DeleteHugs-x-
Oh poor Marlowe. It's so upsetting for parents when accidents happen and she's right a visit to A&E is emotionally and physically draining. All you want is your little one looked at as quickly as possible which isn't always that quick these days. Bless her. Hope she's on the mend. xx
