The day started well today with a trip to Market Drayton in search of a kitchen dresser. Fingers were crossed that they still had this one I had seen on their Facebook page.......
but somehow I ended up with this........
I didn't ask for it.....honest. I was just told by Andy that I could have it if I wanted it and given that we have absolutely zero storage space in our house I took it while it was offered.
It will be in my kitchen on Wednesday and I am very excited.
Once we left there things went rapidly down hill.....a horrible lunch in a horrible pub and a very tiring and non productive trip to Tamworth after dropping Andy home.
We've not long got home and Andy has fed us beans on toast and a cuppa with a mince pie. DD has gone for a hot shower and a very early night as she is not feeling well and I think I am going to convert to sofa huggerism for the rest of the night as I am pooped.
Hope you've all had a good day.

OOhh Sheila I have dresser envy. The one you're having delivered is absolutely gorgeous. If you're anything like me you'll have those drawers and cupboards filled in a flash. I've come to expect rubbish food when I go out to eat, if it's good it's a bonus, but mainly I sit there thinking I could have cooked this from my own freezer and done it better as well. Hope DD isn't coming down with something and feels better tomorrow. xx
ReplyDeleteMore dresser envy - oh those dinky little drawers!
ReplyDeleteI do love a dresser , I had always wanted one, I only have a small one but I love it x
ReplyDeleteOoh! Fabulous. You lucky lady. That dresser is about the size of my kitchen! I hope DD is soon feeling much better. X
ReplyDeleteThere is more dresser envy coming from here. It looks amazing. Hope DD is soon on the mend.
ReplyDeleteLovely dresser, i keep looking at them but will wait until we do the kitchen, shame about the lunch.
ReplyDeleteWhat a cracker of a dresser! I would love one but the only spare wall left in our kitchen is next to the back door/hall door (i.e. from kitchen to hall) and has a radiator next to it, too. So no space for a dresser. All space in sitting/dining room taken up with bookcases/radiators/windows. Bah!
ReplyDeleteWill you keep it natural wood or paint it? I must say I like dressers painted in pastel colours, but natural wood looks lovely too (although pine isn't my favourite; traditionally, pine - or deal, or whitewood - used to be painted, but today it is often left natural or waxed.)

ReplyDeleteGorgeous dresser, with all those little drawers it has resembles a merchants chest. You will have such fun filling it, I miss my dresser from Tydd but it was built in and had to stay.
ReplyDeleteThe first one looked fantastic, I loved it,the I scrolled down! It's beautiful.Furniture like that is a bit hard to find here in Canada,so I'll just sit here with a nasty case of dresser envy.
ReplyDeleteMe love dresser! I have plenty of dressers...some in storage! x
ReplyDeleteThat is one too banana dresser!! My favourite bit is all those little drawers! What are you going to put in them?!
