What To Do This Weekend?!!!

I am trying to decide what I want to do this weekend.
There is still carpet shampooing needing to be done and other jobs on the big job list but I feel the need to have a weekend doing something I want to do and not what I have to do.
It's a long time since I went fabric shopping or indeed any kind of leisure shopping so I may well have a morning in Derby tomorrow. There are a couple of things I could do with from Lakeland and maybe a mooch round the market might go some way to lifting this horrible black cloud that seems to be hanging above my head at the moment.
I need to have some fun for a few hours.
So....today I am getting the house weekend ready. I will be able to go out and not have anything to rush back for. Andy is cooking tomorrow as he fancies steak and chips and he cooks a better steak than I do so I won't even have to worry about doing that.

I hope you all have exciting things planned for your weekend.

  1. Oh Sheila, sorry about the black cloud - go out tomorrow and have a jolly good indulgent spend on lots of crafty things! Lakeland is good for offering loads of handy little gadgets in lovely bright colours...all those things you never knew you needed! A coffee and cake stop would be good, too.

  3. I shopped myself into a black cloud today. What I want to do tomorrow is swim in a warm turquoise blue sea, have a fresh caught seafood dinner and idle away the day in the sun. Hmm, read that as sit on the sofa and knit, then move onto some sewing.

    1. Sea...yes please....seafood....I'll have to pass on that but a couple of hours on a nice beach wouldn't go amiss I must say.

  4. I always try to do something fun on the weekend. I hope you have a fun day out, have a good old look around and the black cloud goes away soon. I'm sure winter doesn't help.

  5. I love Lakeland and there is a lovely one in Chichester near where I live , I love mooching in there and could spend a fortune in there but everything in there is stuff I want rather than need! ☺️

  7. A weekend doing what you want sounds like just the right thing to do, Sheila. You will begin to feel better but it is bound to take time, so go easy on yourself.
Lily and I are going to do the RSPB bird watch this weekend, although I suspect it will be mainly down to me to do the watching. X

  8. We will be “going the messages” that is doing our shopping. At the moment, I’m still in my “goonie” (dressing gown) but think I really must shift myself as it’s nearly lunchtime. Me bad.

    1. I am so pinching the word 'goonie'....I love it.
Hope you got all your messages done.

  9. Oh dear Sheila you make me feel a failure as you're always cleaning, and shampooing carpets!! That couldn't be furthest from my mind. Today is our day of rest! How is your hair growing?
I haven't been blogging of late so wondered how you were.

    1. The carpet shampooing won't have to happen quite so much once I have done this go through of the house. We lost Smudge a fortnight ago so no more little accidents to keep on top of.
Hair is looking good. I'll get Roz to take a photo to put up.

  10. I do hope that the cloud has lifted, Sheila. I throw myself into "sorting out" and cleaning when I feel low (I DO know that it's not the same thing as depression) and find it calming.

Thanks for taking the time to leave me a message.
It is much appreciated.
