We've decided not to go out today. Andy is pottering and doing a few jobs....changing the bathroom light bulb and mowing the lawns so far and then I think he is going for a fiddle about in his shed.
I'm just tidying up a little and then I shall be sewing for a while before I have to make the tea and then after that we will settle down and carry on watching part two of the last season of Sopranos. I have absolutely loved watching this and will be quite sad when it's finished.
Ooooh....just spotted the papers on the table so a coffee and a read before I do anything else.
Have a lovely day.

Shopped for essentials and home. Preparing the stuff for my voluntary class tomorrow-vases from large pickle jars and flowers to go in them. I look like a packhorse every Tuesday but they are a lovely group. (Mainly-always one greedy grabber in every group)
ReplyDeleteThat sounds like a really interesting class Catriona. I love upcycling things like jars.
DeleteOh yes there is always one isn't there? I used to have a lady in my card classes who take every paper clipping...no matter how small, mis-stamped images, tiny bits of ribbon and used up peel off sheets. Goodness knows what she did with them I'm sure....lol.

Sounds like the perfect day xx
ReplyDeleteIt is Cheryl....just right.
DeleteHope you are having a lovely day too.

We've just spent a few hectic hours with our daughter and two grand-daughters who came for lunch. I say hectic, but that is mainly our youngest grand-daughter as at 13mo she is into everything, lol. The older one at 7yo is a lot easier to entertain.
ReplyDeleteToo hot today for us all, but saying that it will probably be raining tomorrow.
Enjoy your day Sheila.
Joan (Devon)
Ha, ha....Ruby is easy to entertain but she still gets into everything....wanting to know what is in my sewing drawers and what it's all for.
DeleteToo hot for us today too. Poor old DD has been out in it all day at work and has just come in worn out and gasping for a cold drink.
Hope you have a more restful evening Joan.

A day at home doing nothing in particular is very underrated. It's exactly how we have spent today, trying to regain a bit of the energy expended in a few days away followed by a wedding yesterday.
ReplyDeleteI must admit that I am a bit of a home bod Eloise. I don't mind going out for the day but I am always glad to get home. Holidays are a different matter and I always get homesick after a couple of days :(

ReplyDeleteHa, ha, ha.
DeleteYes thinking about it I didn't quite put that right did I?
