OMG....Santa Has Been Already!!!

Andy asked me earlier in the week what I would like for Christmas and I said that I would like a new hand mixer.
This morning I took a mysterious phone call to say that there was a parcel for him at the cook shop in town so I told him and he shot up and was off.
He returned with this.......

Oh my life....what is he like?
He said I could have it now and that I was to go through the brochure to see if I wanted any of the attachments to go with it and he would go and order them tomorrow.
I am so excited to use it and have promised him a cake this afternoon.

Here she is in all her glory.......

Isn't she a beauty?
I will need to get sewing and make a cover for her as she will have to live on the worktop......I don't have a cupboard big enough to put her in.

I'm off to make a cake 😁😁😁

Hope you are all having a wonderful day.

  4. Snap! I have the food processor - used occasionally and the liquidiser - used more often and mini chopper cup thingy for nuts and herbs which came with a Kenwood about 20 years ago and still fits the new one.
Definitely too heavy to lift into a cupboard.
    Enjoy

    1. There are some wonderous attachments you can buy to go with it aren't there?
I have my eye on the creaming beater at the moment which scrapes the bowl as you mix saving you having to keep stopping to do it.
It has gone on the worktop right where I'll be using it....I don't want to have to keep moving it....it is really heavy.

  5. Ooh you lucky, lucky girl! I echo Shabby above, make sure you have the dough hook, I make bread dough in mine all the time. Mine's a budget version but it does the job just fine and I wouldn't be without it. Enjoy it Sheila.

I just need to go and stock up on flour and yeast and I shall be trying it out.

  6. I had a big stand mixer and was only using it for bread. My lovely neighbour gave me her new bread maker as it was still in the box a year after she bought it. My mixer went off to a friend who was struggling to gold her hand mixer. Wi Win all round.

    1. I gave my stand mixer to my daughter in law who couldn't afford to buy one and missed it more than I thought I would so I am very, very happy with my new one....even though I only asked for a hand mixer to replace the one I broke last month.

  10. I've got one! Love it! But don't bother with the juicer it is too fiddly for what you get out of it. Everyone is right about the dough hook - fantastic for bread!

    1. We don't really juice much fruit so I won't bother with that. I'd just like the creaming beater for now then just wait and see if I need anything else as I go along.
The dough hook came with it....very happy about that.
