Bucketing Stair Rods!!!

The weather here this morning is atrocious....rain so heavy that it is bouncing back up as it hits the ground and our poor plumber is having to work out in it to get the tank ready for the oil delivery tomorrow....bless him.
I will keep him supplied with hot drinks but I'm sure this will be one day when he will be glad to get done and go home.

Until the weather improves there is no sense in planning to do anything nice in the garden but this morning Andy has gone off to purchase the paint ready for getting our two wooden sheds and step rails painted. We have chosen Cuprinol Garden Shades in Coastal Mist....blue enough for him to be happy as blue is his favourite colour....but soft enough to make me happy too.....although I would have preferred a sage green.

Today I am going to give the kitchen carpet another going over with the beast and then go and hoover the staircases and landings before sorting out more stuff from the attic. DD bought down several bags of my craft stuff yesterday and it needs sorting into piles for chucking out, storing and charity shop donations.
That will be another job done ready for getting my house back to normal after the work is finished.

Much excitement here today with the start of the new season of Broadchurch. Roll on 9pm.

Hope you all have better weather than we have here.

  1. We couldn't decide between blue or green for our shed but opted for green in the end. I didn't dislike the blue though and if we'd have lived by the coast I'd have gone for that.

I didn't get into Broadchurch last time but I'm going to watch the new series tonight to see if I like it any better.

The poor plumber. Outdoor jobs are great in good weather - not so much when it's cold and raining.

    Have a lovely day. xx

    1. I would have liked the green as it would go well with the distressed cottage garden look I am going for but I can work with the blue:)

Oh crikey I love Broadchurch a lot of people were put of the second one as they went back to Sandbrook and got Hardy's case solved but I thought it was brilliant.

He's a good lad is Grant our plumber. He told us to book the oil delivery to make sure he got his part of the job done even though it meant coming in the rain.

    1. I think as it is mostly cardmaking stuff most of it can go...I am so over making cards...lol. Some of it though is stuff I bought back from Michael's in New York and it's quite special so decisions will have to be made-x-

  3. "Coastal Mist" sounds really nice - hope you will share a photo when it is done.

on the positive side your bad weather lets you sort out the bags DD cleaned out of the attic. Do you have any plans for DD previous bedroom?

Our weather is a roller coaster. Freezing cold one day and very warm the next. It has been a strange winter. We have only received a little over an inch of snow which is extremely low for us.

    1. Photos will be shared Sandy when the garden is fit to look at. Looking at it now that seems a long, long way away but a few weeks of dry weather should see us get it tidied up.

The bedroom will now become the room that Ruby and I use when she comes for her sleepover weekends. She loves to snuggle up with her Ganma.

  4. Sounds like it's going to be busy at your house! The weather here last week was warm enough people were out in shorts (in Michigan, in winter, that means 15C or so) and this week we had snow again!

    1. It's like a flippin' madhouse Sharon. There is stuff everywhere.
I spent half an hour looking for me pickled onions at lunchtime...lol.
Wish we could have some snow-x-

    1. Sorry to hear that MM.
Did you get the hail storm today?
It frit me to death when it started.
