Gawd Give Me Strength!!!

Well that is five hours of me life I will never get back....lol.
A very uninspiring trip to Ikea who seem to be ripping the whole store apart.
Andy is dreadful to go browsing with but he was showing some very unusual interest in kitchens and sofas....should I be getting excited or what?
Lunch at a pub we have been going to on and off for forty years was OK but the portions were so big that I couldn't finish mine.
....and a quick trip to Hobbycraft where I could have spent a fortune but didn't. I just came out with two metres of thick white cord for my bathroom bunting and a pack of jar labels.
Home to yet another puddle on the kitchen floor but thankfully not on the carpet.

As we have had lunch out I won't be cooking a meal for us so it's pizza and coleslaw for DD.

I think I wore the wrong shoes for trolling around Ikea and my feet are killing me so I'm going to do meself a nice foot soak and put some fluffy socks on.

Hope you are all having a lovely day.

    1. We decided not to go Trudie. I have so much fabric already from the sewing show that I haven't even touched yet.
      Maybe next year-x-

  2. Ikea is husband's idea of the worst day out ever, I'm not terribly keen either. I feel for you Sheila, it's confusing enough as it is without all the upheaval of them doing it up! Just look forward to finishing your lovely bathroom.

    1. Andy doesn't mind Ikea and he suggested the trip. I usually love it there but every time we go just lately they seem to have less displays to give you inspiration and more areas blocked off. Drives me nuts it does-x-

  3. I have never been to Ikea, and please God I never have to. Those humongous stores leave me cold. I have been known to get halfway round a supersized supermarket and just abandon the trolley.

    1. Ooooh Pam I love Ikea. It is huge but they do (usually) have some wonderful things at very reasonable prices.
Now supersized supermarkets are a different matter altogether....don't like them and never will-x-

  4. IKEA is my home away from home! :-) I like to just go for a wander and sometimes use it for indoor walking if the weather is bad. This time of year is when they are doing new set ups before the new line is introduced so that may be why things were a bit of a mess. I won't be going back though until we're into Sept. - this time of year is when all the kids going away to school are in for their dorm room items and it's crazy!

    1. Our Ikea was fairly quiet today which surprised me although the restaurant was very busy we got round the shop with no problems.
I won't go again now until nearer Christmas-x-
