Today We Have.......!!!

......this

Beautiful cooling and cleansing rain to get rid of all the dust that seems to be covering everything outside. I love it.

I had a much better night last night. Three hours, a bathroom break and then another three hours. So nice after two or three nights of just a couple of hours.....and I woke up relatively pain free which is a huge bonus.

I have just finished sorting out these......

......and filling them with cardmaking paraphenalia.
I would have liked some to go with my New York boxes but this was the only grown up pattern they had and they are very pretty.
There are still a couple or so drawers to fill and the New York box on the right is empty so that can be used for dies and cutting plates. Once they are sorted out I will be good to go although my Cricut Expression will have to stay upstairs and just come down when needed as there is just nowhere to put it.
This does make me chuckle a bit as when I was cardmaking, teaching and demonstrating as a job I had over 15,000 individual stamps and two or three hundred ink pads along with all the embossing powders and much much more......I don't think it would all fit in these....lol.

The simple meals went down very well last night so we are repeating that today and just having some bacon and tomatoes with some crusty bread. Andy will probably want mushrooms....and he is very welcome to those but I will pass. I don't really like mushrooms.

There is a little ironing to do today which shouldn't be too much of a chore with it being a bit cooler so I will get that done and then maybe make a cake. I think Lemon Drizzle should please the workers and I do have some lemons which need using.

For now I need to go and sort out this fly that is driving me mental.

Hope you all have a lovely day.

  1. I didn't know you were so into card making, we used to have a craft shop years ago and it was a big part of my life then with demonstrations and classes back then, everything seems to have moved on so much since I was doing it. I sold my expression a couple of years ago, just use my trusty big shot now. Have fun with your making, glad it's cooled down xx

    1. Oh how lovely that you had a craft shop.
Love my Bigshot and that will be coming down to the dining room ready to be used again.

  2. I'm doing about 2 weeks ironing which I keep saying I won't do-left it again due to the heat. Ironed one shirt and some bedding and then got sidetracked by some fabric that I'm upcycling. All unpicked, washed, lightly starched and ready to go. Tomorrow is another day cause I'm about to get my exercise gear on and walk round to Pilates. With any luck, extreme hunger will have made Norrie get the dinner ready but he'll probably have a nap! Catriona

    1. Ha, ha....I can always find something to be sidetracked by where ironing is concerned Catriona. I've done it again today but will probably do it this evening.
Andy is cooking tea....I am gobsmacked-x-

  3. It's been cold here today - back to long trousers and coats. Apparently we had a thunderstorm last night but I was in the pub so missed it!

Where on earth did you store 15,000 stamps and 300 ink pads plus all the other stuff. My mind boggles at those numbers lol. xx

    1. I had a snuggle under me sofa quilt last night as it was quite chilly.

When I had 15,000 stamps I had the whole top floor of the house to myself as a workroom all kitted out with shelves and drawers. I miss my workroom.
