WOW!!!

Well that was an exciting morning out for Andy. He absolutely loved his driving experience....especially the Aston Martin DB9 and I must admit I enjoyed seeing all the cars.
It was quite a long drive there and back but the Leicestershire weather was very nice.....sunny but with a chilly wind that wasn't so good for us spectators.
I have a couple of lovely photos of him so I will try and take photos of those and show them tomorrow.
Now begins the search for the next thing on his bucket list....a ride in a Spitfire which I think is either going to be hard to find or super expensive but we shall see.

Back home now and I have jobs waiting as usual so I'll get a few bits done....there is always tomorrow and Monday.......and Tuesday....and Wednesday...lol.
First I need a decent cuppa as the one from the catering van at the racetrack left a lot to be desired...I hate tea out of a paper cup.

Hope you are all having a lovely weekend.

  1. Spitfire info from DIL who found out for son..........most spitfires are single seats there are a few 2 seat but you have to be under a certain weight and height. Son is 6 foot 4 which was way too tall by a long way

    1. I have found some two seater flights but they are bloomin' expensive. Will have to have a good think about it-x-

  2. I am thrilled for Andy fulfilling his dreams. A spitfire simulator might be a cheaper alternative.

    1. He really loved it.
The simulator is a very good idea but I'm not sure anything but the real thing would do for His Nibs. I'll just have to bite the bullet and do some pretty hard saving up-x-

  5. Boys and their toys!! : ) I hope you were able to have a decent cuppa. Paper cups are certainly not the proper way to enjoy tea. I'm a coffee drinker myself. I found this wonderful mug from the Pioneer Woman's line. It's so big and so pretty and just perfect for my morning coffee. Have a beautiful rest of your weekend, Sheila. I sent you an invitation to the new blog. I hope I did it correctly!! : ) xo

    1. Oh I know Wendy...and it's not just vehicles. He loves power tools too but the trouble is he is totally useless at DIY...lol.
I love my coffee too but the tea was just choosing the lesser of the two evils as their coffee looked like pond water.
We have a Bank Holiday here this weekend so Monday is an extra day off and the weather is nice though windy so hopefully it will be a good weekend.
Hope you have a fab one too and thank you for the invite-x-
