So here is the decoupage I did.
People who do this all the time have my undying admiration for their patience in doing all that cutting out. I chose a picture that wasn't all that fiddly and it just about made my eyes bleed.
Still apart from the glaringly obvious mistakes where I should maybe have done an extra layer I was quite happy with the result......for an amateur.
It's been a tad warm for me at the shop today and I forgot to take my cooling spray that my mate Gert gave me so I have just sat behind the counter and done the prep for Thursdays' class. Hope the weather holds though as we are having a birthday BBQ for DS on Saturday and I would hate it to be a washout.
After tea I have some card packing to do. I called in at the local shop this morning and the stands are looking pretty bare so best get some ready to take down tomorrow.
Thanks for dropping by.

What a lovely picture you have decoupaged...well done.
ReplyDeleteI'm afraid decoupage isn't a favourite of mine Sheila, but I can appreciate the time and patience it takes to cut all the bits out.
ReplyDeleteI must say, you've made a great job of this picture.
Just a word about Saturday. My OH said this morning that the long range forecast said it's not going to be very nice in the middle of the week but will get better again for the weekend so here's fingers crossed for you and yours.

That is so beautiful Sheila! It's picture perfect! I love cottages and flowers. Oh, and I don't see any mistakes at all!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
Really lovely card, Sheila. It reminds me of a Thomas Kincade painting. Love the lights in the windows. Actually, wouldn't mind a nice holiday there!
