It's All Going South!!!

If this morning is a sign of the fact that I turn sixty this year....I think we'll just stop the clock right here.
I woke up feeling like I had been battered with a baseball ball bat....everything just hurt. I swear I heard creaking in my bones too as I manouevered myself upright and I didn't even know what day it was until I had a good think about it. Goodness me....I am not ready for a zimmer frame just yet.
I feel heaps better now that I have been up and about for a few hours but honestly it frit me to death to wake up in such pain.
Maybe I just got myself in a funny position while I was sleeping.

The weather has cheered me up no end....bright blue skies, sunshine and a hard frost. It's beautiful out there.
The Tea Towel Garden Restaurant has been very busy this morning with robins, a wren, lots of sparrows and other birds....such a lovely thing to watch while I had my morning cuppa.

DD has just gone off to work for a couple of hours and I am going to set Andy onto taking down the outdoor Christmas lights and the wreath from the front door.
The tree will stay up until the weekend. It's DD's birthday tomorrow so we keep it up for that and then she will dismantle it all for me on Saturday.
Much as I love the tree lights I will be glad to get my proper lamps back down.

More sorting and organising for me today. I am really enjoying doing it.

I hope you all have blue skies and sunshine today.

  2. Must be something in the air (or more likely because we're all of a certain age!) - I woke up with an aching back and hips this morning. Think it's to do with the fact that I was sitting down a lot yesterday, doing nothing much. I need to get my bones moving more!

  5. I have the sewing machine out today making up a Little Red Riding Hood doll and quilt. It's years since I have sewn any dolly sized clothes and I hadn't realised my fingers aren't as nimble as before! DH is making the dinner as I want to finish this wee gift-my mojo has finally come back-yeah!!! Catriona

  8. I feel your pain Sheila. I can't bend down for a couple of hours when I first wake up. Totally fine once the stiffness has eased off, but oh my goodness, I'm like an old woman first thing. I'd never make it out of the house if there was a fire.

Lovely blue skies and sunshine here today and I went for a walk!

Hope you're not as creaky tomorrow :) xx

    1. I've had aches and pains on waking before Suzanne but nothing like this morning. It was quite scary. I certainly hope it's not going to happen every morning-x-

  9. Watching something on telly recently, the chat show host said about getting older that when you wake up in the mornings you think two things. Firstly 'what are you going to eat' and secondly 'what hurts today'. So true. They are genuinely my two thoughts every morning. Along with the other one of 'what day is it?!'!

We've had blue sky and sunshine today too, but ooh, it's been so cold! x

    1. Oh crikey....so there is no hope for me then. Mind you food isn't one of my first thoughts yet. I've always hated breakfast and only eat it to line my stomach before I take my medication.
Really cold here tonight so I will be taking my hot water bottle to bed methinks-x-
