........the shopping trip without killing him....yay.
I just need a cup of tea and a lie down in a dark room and I will be fine....lol.
By gum it were cold out there this morning and the sun was blinding. I was really glad to get home.
I am now officially an old woman with a shopping trolley 👀
Sometimes I have to go down to the veg shop by myself which is fine but coming back up kills my back with heavy bags and a long incline to tackle so he's bought me a shopping trolley.
I buy a lot of veg so it will be worth it's weight in gold.
DD and I really enjoyed our salad last night and we would have it again tonight but of course Andy wants a hot meal so it will be chicken in a stilton sauce with steamed veg and roasted baby potatoes to use up the last of the Christmas stilton.
I was hoping my parcel would arrive this morning so that I could start on some sewing tomorrow afternoon...but it hasn't 😢so I will have to find something else to do for now. I don't know what but I am definitely getting in the mood for crafting again.
Right I am off to put the rest of the shopping away and do some cooking.
Hope you are all keeping warm and cosy today.

Very thankful there was no bloodshed on the shopping trip! Hope your fire is lit and you're keeping nice and warm. x
ReplyDeleteFire is lit and tea is smelling great.
DeleteIt's going to be a lovely night....hope yours is too-x-
Relief all around here as the tidal surge was not as bad as anticipated, still feeling quite cold though.
ReplyDeleteThank goodness things didn't get as bad as predicted and that you are safe.
DeleteIt is bone achingly cold here so I hope the house warms up soon...it takes a while with the outdated system we have here-x-
I have a shopping trolley, I use it when I go to events, a lot better than trying to carry lots of bags, highly recommend them, saves the back and shoulders and also less likely not to lose a bag
ReplyDeleteFab idea Dawn.
DeleteIt's a good size so I should fit plenty of fabric in it-x-
Hi
ReplyDeleteThat shopping trolley could be handy for the Hobbycraft show at the NEC - I usually take mine to the Festival of Quilts in August then it doesn't matter how much fabric I buy - it just goes into trolley and I dont have to carry it - they do make life easier xx
I will definitely be taking it Trudie-x-
DeleteNothing wrong with a shopping trolley Shelia, it took me a long time to be brave enough to use one, but wouldn't be without it now, I do drive but sometimes like a walk so if I have a few things to get up Asda it comes out with me. xx
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely nothing wrong with it Marlene. It was fabulous up that long incline back to the car-x-
DeleteI love my trolley, and I don't care who knows it! I feel for you shopping with a man. I refuse to go with DH if I can possibly avoid it in any way. I hope your parcel comes soon x
ReplyDeleteI think I may come to fall in love with mine Lyssa....what's not to love.....she is spotty...lol-x-
DeleteMum could do with a trolley but she says she can't bend down that far to get the stuff out although she could really do with one just to help when she's walking.
ReplyDeleteFunny how the crafting mojo suddenly returns isn't it. I woke up and fancied knitting something today so the needles are out and a project is on the go. Hope your material arrives soon. Frustrating to be waiting when you're raring to go. xx
I think I'm going to find it really useful Suzanne especially as a couple of readers have suggested I take it to the NEC. Just think how much fabric I can fit in it...lol.
DeleteYes I really fancied doing some sewing tomorrow after lunch but never mind I will try to steal some time this next week-x-
