.......I'm about ready to do him in.
He has the tv on watching some dreadful old film with an equally dreadful soundtrack and it is driving me crazy 😝
I need to invest in some ear plugs.
DD and I are so ready to get back to the nights where we have what suits us for tea and we can watch what we want. We currently have two seasons of Broadchurch, a season of Rizzoli and Isles and three seasons of something DD had just bought whose name escapes me....all waiting to be watched. At the moment we grit our teeth and watch anything that will keep Mr Fidget Pants occupied for more than half an hour. Last night it was the absolutely horrendous Beowulf. He was snoring before it was halfway through but if we had tried to switch it off and put something else on we'd have been in deep doo doo.
Horrible mizzly rain today so I'm not planning on going out anywhere.
DD is going out for a meal with friends tonight so my top up shop can wait until tomorrow and I am not cooking as Andy has offered a Chinese.
All the financial stuff that needed doing has been done this morning so I am going to have a lazy afternoon doing whatever takes me fancy.....and I can't make my mind up what that will be so I will have a nice cup of tea while I mull it over....lol 😁
Thanks so much for visiting today.

Your description of your DD watching 'his choice' of tv programs made me smile. My DD loves to watch old movies, the older the better but I find the acting very wooden and not to my liking. His very favorite film EVER is A Bridge Too Far and he has watched it so many times it has become a family joke. Each time he puts it on I comment to him that perhaps it will gave a different ending this time ......
ReplyDeleteOh Marilyn I so sympathise....in this house it's Dambusters. He must have watched it at least a hundred times and I have come to hate it with a passion-x-
DeleteYour OH sounds just like mine....he likes all the DIY/house progs, which bore the pants off me. And of course he's asleep within a few minutes of putting them on....
ReplyDeleteHope you have a lovely afternoon doing whatever you decide!
Mine isn't loyal to any particular kind of programme...he channel hops constantly and watches bits of all kinds of rubbish......oh gawd....sounds like he's on to Steptoe and Son now....I give up I really do...lol-x-
DeleteBrace yourself Sheila, you've just had a glimpse of what it will be like when he retires.....lol
ReplyDeleteHa, ha....I've already had a glimpse of that Wanda....truly the stuff of nightmares. He took early retirement a few years ago but ended up going back to work as he was bored-x-
DeleteMen always snore, mine does as well.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the Chinese, I haven't had one for ages, don't tempt me xx
We don't spend a lot Marlene. The portions are so huge that we can easily share a meal=x=
DeleteBen is the snorer in this house, I watch what I like and that does include some "sheddy" programs.
ReplyDeleteOur Smudge snores too Pam....you can imagine the noise withthem both going at it-x-
DeleteSheila, I can highly recommend a 2nd TV installed in a different part of the house LOL.
ReplyDeleteI'd be quite happy to do without one at all although Roz has one in her room for watching dvd's on-x-
DeleteSky multiroom saved our sanity when father came to live with us. btw, you don't need handcuffs, you need an alibi. ;) x
ReplyDeleteNoooooo......he'd put a tv in the bathroom as well....lol-x-
DeleteOh no...try not to 'do him in' just think...you'd have to learn how to use the remote control! x
ReplyDeleteLol Jackie....I know what I'd like to do with the remote I can tell you-x-
DeleteI feel your pain Sheila. I can share a cell with you!
ReplyDeleteYay....if we got a good long stretch you could teach me to knit....lol-x-
DeleteOh dear Sheila I feel for you although I have to admit in between sympathising I was also laughing.
ReplyDeleteMark watches the biggest load of c**p you can imagine on TV. Vampires and Zombies are his favourite and I don't mean anything with a storyline like Walking Dead, just stupid films or series that I can't stand. He's also well known for falling asleep in the middle of them so they can't be that brilliant can they.
I've started The Good Wife this week and thankfully he's quite happy to watch that. There's over 100 episodes so hopefully I won't have to endure any more of his rubbish for a long time :) Have a lovely weekend xx
Old second world war films or any documentaries about the second world war or Dad's Army. Honestly I despair and if all three of us are sitting down together to watch something it has to be something that he will watch else he will be up and down all through the film or he'll be rattling a sweet or popcorn bag. Not relaxing at all which is why DD and I are ready for him to go back to work now-x-
