Well...it's been a long time since I managed a post.
What with one thing and another I haven't really felt up to either sharing the health problems I've been having or the boredom that has been lockdown.
That is slowly changing now that I have found myself able to sew again....not my cross stitch which is still beyond me but I have been sewing masks, tea towels. shopping bags and Christmas gift bag sets for all the family.
I am so chuffed I've been able to do it without sewing my fingers together or cutting them off.
What have you all been doing to keep busy during lockdown?
Have you discovered new crafts to try or gone back to old favorites?
I must say that I am thoroughly sick of cooking and am looking forward to being confident enough to go out for a meal.
....and talking of cooking I had better go and check out the casserole we are having today....it smells just about ready.
I'll speak to you soon.

ReplyDeleteSo good to see you back Sheila. Glad your recovery is on the positive side and that you can still do some kind of needlework. Take care.
ReplyDeletelovely to have you back and that you can now do some sewing. Lockdown has been a problem. I have started a blog myself to try and motivate me to do things. If you want to have a look it is pastorswife69.com. However I haven't blogged as much as I should. Hope you continue to improve. How are your family.

ReplyDeleteOh Sheila welcome back!! It's so good to hear you're doing well... lockdown is boring so I'm glad to live in a beautiful place (Clearwater FL)..
ReplyDeleteI was only just thinking of you yesterday, Sheila, it's lovely to see a post from you. It must be nice for you to be sewing once again. X
ReplyDeleteIt's so lovely to hear from you Sheila and I'm thrilled to read you've started to sew again. I'm sure the cross stitch will come in time. We've not found lock down too bad. Amy moved home and is still here so that was one good thing to come out of it, Tom has thoroughly enjoyed what will be 6 months off school and I've been dabbling in my usual crafty bits. Mark has been a bored pain at times, but we've all survived which is the main thing. Hope all the family have kept well. xx
ReplyDeleteSo pleased you are starting sewing again, please contact me if you want to chat on the phone especially as I have had a stroke as well and maybe we can help each other. So really pleased you are getting stronger. ๐๐๐ป๐ปhazel c uk

ReplyDeleteSo delighted to find your post this morning. I am glad you are back sewing and hopefully you can tackle your cross stitch again soon. I have been mask making and knitting my poet's scarves so no new skills. I do have four orphan calves in the barn this spring and they are always interesting.
ReplyDeleteLovely to hear from you Sheila! I'm sure we're all fed up with lockdown by now. Just keeping my fingers crossed we are not headed for another one here in Belgium ... I've certainly devoted more time to my garden than ever before! xxx
ReplyDeleteSo very happy to hear from you and your continued recovery. This has made my day! All quiet over here in my neck of the woods. Everyone is healthy and safe. What more can I ask for.
ReplyDeleteHey girl...is that really you! Glad you’re feeling well enough to post here... It’s been pretty much eat sleep work repeat hereabouts...but with the addition of eldest and her family...who incidentally arise at 5am! x
