First injection done. It hurt but only because I got myself a bit worked up about it and Andy says I pulled it out too quickly and lost some of the liquid so I'll have to take a bit more time when I do it tomorrow.
Started quilting the quilt top last night and almost immediately had to unpick a couple of rows due to the stupid mistake of not pinning enough. It's now pinned to within an inch of it's life so I will crack on with that this afternoon.
DD is training today so doesn't know if she will be early, on time or late home. Another simple meal then.....grilled bacon and eggs with grilled tomatoes.
Just a bit of washing up to be done after Andy's lunch, I'll hoover once he's gone and then the afternoon is all mine 😊
Have a lovely day.

Sorry to read about the injections, Sheila. My annual check in December showed my HbA1c was up on the previous year's, after some discussion with my nurse we've agreed I will try 3 tabs (any more than that really upset my bowels!) - I was previously on 2. I'll have another blood test in March. I'm trying to revamp my diet and lose a bit of weight to see if that helps. Good luck with the injections. Have a nice crafting afternoon!
ReplyDeleteDH is on four which is the most he can have. He does suffer the bowel effect especially are his gall bladder removal.
DeleteThanks Sooze.
DeleteI was taking Metformin twice a day and Glicazide twice a day. I'm now down to just the Metformin and the injection plus medication for other problems. So glad to at least have cut down on the tablets.

Well done! Hopefully it will get easier for you with practice (the injections obviously, not the quilting 😆). X
ReplyDeleteMuch easier today Jules thank you.

No doubt soon you will be a dab- hand with the injections. Thinking of you!!
ReplyDeleteDid it like a pro this morning Mrs :)

I'm sure you'll get the hang of it after a while. Enjoy your free afternoon! I'm going to try to take the time to craft today. It always makes me feel better.
ReplyDeleteCrafting really does help doesn't it Sharon.

Well done Sheila! Hope you had a good afternoon crafting. i am still chucking out stuff/ rehoming/ donating as my head is cluttered with all the different stuff for all crafts. I’m not getting the sewing machine out until the clutter has gone! Catriona
ReplyDeleteThat's what I have done Catriona. Everything that isn't sewing related has gone upstairs under the bed and it will all go to Ruby eventually. Just need to have a declutter of patterns when I feel like doing it.

Well done. The thought of giving myself an injection makes me sick. I think you are very brave
ReplyDeleteThanks Cherie.
DeleteThe thought of it made me feel rather ill but today went better than yesterday.
