Freezing Me Wotsits Off!!!

Oh this is my kind of morning.....sunny and dry but with a real autumnal nip in the air.
I'm sat here with the back door open so that Smudge can come and go as he likes and it is freezing.
Tea tonight will go down well then.......an old favourite school dinner of savoury mince with mashed potatoes, carrot and swede...yummy.

Sorry to report that the painting wasn't entirely finished last night. I just got to the point where I couldn't push myself to do any more. The end is in sight though and it will be finished tonight after tea.

No results yet from the bone scan hubby had on Friday but his appointment went well with the Oncologist yesterday.
After discussions about his options for treatment he is still going for surgery and is now just awaiting his date to go in.
Although I wouldn't exactly say he's happy he is at least a bit more settled now that his choice is made and he knows what is going to happen. I am just hoping that his appointment doesn't come for him to go in on his birthday on 29th September.

Well I have a few jobs to get done this morning. The window ledges outside are filthy. They're covered in little seeds that have blown from the trees and dead daddy long legs so they need a good wash down. I think I'll save my coffee and have it to warm my hands up after I have done that.

Hope you are all having a lovely day.

  1. Glad you and your husband know what's what now, it is the not knowing which can be extremely stressful, I hope all goes well. x

  2. Dear Sheila:

"sunny and dry but with a real autumnal nip in the air" can't wait for that sort of weather to arrive. Breakfast time here and full sunshine with a high of 90F or 32C - no breeze and humid.

Glad to hear that hubby is sorted and feels confident. Half the battle is won.

Like the sound of your evening meal. Amazing how the weather affects what you eat. I really can't seem to think what to make here as it just seems too hot to cook!

    Take care dear friend.

  3. Good to hear your husband has made some decisions, that is half the battle. I need to get my finger out and get some more outside jobs done but the craft room is calling me, maybe tomorrow.

  4. I'm glad your husband's appointment went well. It's been really warm here again today. We're still waiting for Autumn to arrive and like you I do like the fresh Autumn weather as long as the rain stays away. Your tea this evening does sound delicious. I have fond memories of my school meals. Good luck with the last of your painting. X
