Phew it's been warm today hasn't it?
Hubby lit the fire tonight as he thought the central heating could do with a run through and I am sat here feeling like a well done roast......lol!!!
Today's card is a slightly more traditional version of yesterday's card.
The poinsettia has been stamped and embossed in gold onto a piece of metallic card which has been coloured with Alcohol Inks in Stream, Lettuce and Butterscotch. The colour was then knocked back a little with a bit of Stazon grunging in Olive Green.
The second stamping was onto a piece of card which had been dipped and dragged in a mixture of various Adirondack inks which had been applied to a plastic mat and spritzed with water. For the last dip I sprayed the mat with a Moonglow spritz. The result was this gorgeous deep red with a metallic sheen.
For the background layers I used a lovely mottled gold card and scored a pattern on it using my Scor Pal. On the larger layer I scored a channel a quarter of an inch from the edge and filled it in with burgundy gel pen.
The outside edge of this layer has been given a hammered look using an embossing tool.
Work tomorrow. I do wish the weekends didn't go so quickly. Next weekend will be a bit longer as Deb is closing the shop because the annual Statutes Fair will be on and apparently there will be a Waltzer ride two feet from the shop window. For customers who read my blog I will double check on the days she is closing and post here about it tomorrow night..........I left my list upstairs....sorry.
I'm off for a soak.....my shoulders are aching something wicked after doing that hammered effect on the card.........lol!!!
Bye for now
