Good Morning to my Mum's blogger friends.

Just to let you all know that my Mum suffered a small stroke on Sunday evening and has spent the last couple of days and nights in hospital.  She is now at home and being looked after by us.  She is having some difficulty with speech and has some paralysis on her right side so will not be blogging for a little while.  I will try and keep you informed as best I can inbetween caring for Mum and work.  She is improving in tiny amounts each day but tires quickly but other than that is in generally good spirits and her sense of humour is fully intact.  She tells me the highlight of her stay in hospital was that the nurse who gave her a bed bath was fairly good looking chap and the food wasn't too bad either.

Kindest Regards

Roz AKA DD

  19. So sorry to hear this, but if it was a slight stroke Sheila should make a good recovery. I'm only going by the slight stroke I had a few years ago and I am still doing my craft work. Roz, please give your Mum my blessings with a few hugs.

  35. Only just seen the post Roz but warmest wishes to your mum for a speedy recovery. I had only just started reading her blog a while ago but I will miss her cheery outlook on life on her blog.
Just thought I would mention - a friend of ours had a massive stroke last year and things looked quite bleak as he could not walk at all and became wheelchair bound, but he was so determined and paid for extra physio each day - which seemed to be the key to his recovery. It has certainly paid off and we saw him take a few steps after a few weeks and is now talking normally too.
    Sending hugs to all x

  38. Oh my goodness - I read this the other day but it didn't register that it is Sheila you were talking about - I don't know where my brain was last week but the lightbulb just went off and I realized. All my prayers to Sheila and her family, while she recovers from the stroke. Praying she has a full and speedy recovery and that the paralysis gets better with rehab, etc. My dad has his strokes in 2018 and was paralysed on the left side & slurred a bit but could talk. ALL MY PRAYERS TO YOU ALL.
