Over The Weather And Under The Weather!!!

Thank you for comments on my last post.
Ruby enjoyed her sausages very much and we had a lovely couple of hours together.
Unfortunately on the way back from taking her home I started to feel unwell and by the time we got in the house I had the aura that signals a migraine is coming. Sometimes I don't get the headache after it but this time I did and it was nasty.
Pretty much most of Thursday and Friday was spent on the sofa. I slept so much that I don't think I'll need any more until the end of the month.
It's about gone now.....I just feel wiped out and totally lacking in energy so an easy weekend is on the cards for me apart from cooking a Sunday lunch tomorrow.
If my eyes will let me I shall have a good stitching session today after missing out for the last couple of days.

It's a beautiful day here today so I hope it is where you are.
Have a lovely weekend.

  1. You have my sympathy Sheila. I used to suffer from hemiplegic migraines, and they left me wiped out for days. I hope your eyes are ok enough to get some stitching done. Take care xx

    1. They must have been very frightening Scarlet.
Eyes weren't too bad so I did get some stitching done.

  2. Sorry to hear you've had another migraine. It must be awful to lose a couple of days before it starts to improve. Do you have any idea what triggers them or do they just come from nowhere?

Fingers crossed you're able to get some stitching done. I'm still flabbergasted at your twenty for 20 projects! xx

    1. When I was eleven I was told I would grow out of them but at nearly sixty three I doubt that will happen now. They do at the moment seem a bit further apart though
They used to be triggered solely by strong perfumes but over the last couple of years it seems harsh light can trigger them too and I think that could have been the problem on Wednesday. The lanes we drive through are very dark but now and again there are pockets of harsh light and of course headlights on other cars. My eyes felt particularly sensitive that night so I am putting it down to that.
      I got stitching done :)

  5. I noticed you hadn't been blogging. Not a nice way to spend a couple of days at all. Hope that's it over for a while.

  6. I used to get bad migraine headaches now, and only occasionally, I just get the visual bit - it lasts exactly 20 minutes and then goes and no headache.
Hope you feeling better two days is a long migraine.x

    1. Sometimes I just get the aura and fell a bit sick but don't develop the headache and other times I get a real humdinger and it wipes me out. They can make me ill for a week or more when they are like that but I have bounced back this time much more quickly.
