Soggy Sunday!!!

We got more snow late last night but this morning it has been raining and the snow is slowly thawing so it is very soggy and wet outside.

DD is at work until tea time so it's just Andy and I for lunch. I'll put DD's up to warm up for her later.
Today we are having the third meal from a joint of beef I cooked a few weeks ago. I sliced it up and froze it in gravy so that will be heated through and served with all the usual trimmings.

Just a pottering about day in the warm. I have no desire to be out in the wet. I will cook, Andy will wash up and then he will probably watch telly while I do some sewing on a new quilt until it's time for Dancing on Ice and Midwife later on.
I do love Sunday.

Are you having a cosy day today?

  2. Wet here too now. Fine this morning for an early Sunday drive to Addenbrookes. Parked on Ground floor instead of level 5 - so quiet. If only weekdays were the same

    1. I'm so glad the weather played nice enough for you to be able to get to the hospital but I expect you would rather have been at home.

  3. Tail end of a huge snowstorm here today. I'm tucked in to bed for a nice rest while my family is off to a hockey game this morning. Workout in our little gym, shower, then work in the art studio for a while, figure out dinner and I'll probably do some reading too. Oscars tonight. Thankful for a day to stay home. Hope your weather improves soon! Chy

  5. Heavy rain this morning has seen most of the snow thaw, though there are still the big drifts around nearby. We let the woodburner out last night for the first time in a couple of weeks! x

    1. Just enjoying the quiet ones while I can....the big job list is getting quite full and once the weather is good enough to have windows thrown open I shall be spending most weekends decorating.

  8. Sunday should have been a working day so I'm roaming the house like a caged tiger!
I've used my enforced imprisonment to mend things, pimp stuff up and learn a new crochet stitch.
Let's hope the evil white stuff is all gone soon! xxx
