What A Gorgeous Way To Spend A Morning!!!

Big blue sky, tiny fluffy clouds, children screaming and rooting for their team mates, a good old chat with London Grandma and of course giggly Miss Marlowe making us all laugh.
Ruby didn't look awfully happy but then she had a bad start to the day after finding that she has lost her school shoes. I'm sure they will turn up but she does take these kind of things to heart and she will be pretty upset until they are found.
I will have to check with her on Wednesday how her team did as I must have missed the announcements while walking Marlowe around.

Today I will be scratting about in the salad and veg drawers to concoct something cold for tea. There will be no oven activity today if I can help it after having both ovens on yesterday.

So The Loch has finished and I for one am extremely glad. DD and I had sort of guessed in the right direction though we weren't totally right.
We have started on the box set of Homeland now and are really enjoying that. We have seasons one and two so just need to pick up the rest when we see them in That's Entertainment.

I'm spending some time now catching up with laundry. Three loads done and three more to go and then that is that done for the week....although if this heat continues DD will be needing a complete change of clothes every day so I'll have to wash those to keep her in uniform for the week.
Being out in the heat this morning has made me really tired so I think my other jobs can wait until tomorrow.

Rightio....I am off into the depths of the fridge and I can't think of a nicer place to be at the moment...lol.

Have a lovely day.

  2. Sports day sounds a lot of fun. It's Lily's tomorrow so we've been given instructions for no sandals or flip flops to be worn. This warm weather has made me lazy in the kitchen recently so we're having tomato, pesto and mozzarella slice with some salad and baked camembert with some crusty bread, so I will feel like I've cooked a decent meal even though I haven't really.
    Enjoy your evening. X

  3. Sounds like a lovely time. I have to admit that I didn't like sports day. I'm not a very sporty person and was always slower at physical things.

Ssshhh...don't tell me the ending of The Loch. I still have one episode left next Monday. At least I'll get to see the end before I leave!

    1. No sporty type here either Sharon. I didn't like any of the sports at school and Ruby isn't over keen either.
Enjoy the last of The Loch-x-

  4. Today is the day Victoria and the boys arrive, I am beyond excited. Hope Ruby manages to find her shoes, it can be upsetting for them at that age.

  5. Hello there lovely,
It's certainly too hot too cook! I'm glad you are concerned about Ruby's shoes - I've been lumbered with the onerous task of the lost property this year. I'm not kidding, SEVEN big tables full of lost UNNAMED school uniform plus THREE PAIRS OF SHOES!! Which parent doesn't care where their kids clothes AND SHOES are??? The most stock was no less than 33 girl's cardigans. Most like brand new. Well they were put out on tables and parents invited to collect - I couldn't believe my ears when I overheard one mum say, oh I'll just buy new in September!!! The rest is being sold at 50p an item and then any left will be skipped/charity shopped. It's a crying shame.

    1. Hello gorgeous girl. So lovely to hear from you.
Seven tables of lost and unnamed uniform. That is ridiculous isn't it? I can't believe people can afford to just leave it and say they'll just buy new in September.
      Hope you enjoy The Loch.
      Hugs-x-

  6. Hit publish before I was finished!! Our school is one intake of about 200 kids. That's a lot of list property for so few children!
I've the loch stacked on my planner for after Thursday! So shhhhhh!! It's lovely to be back in blogland but will be reading and catching up more after Thursday. Apologies if I've missed any big news etc xxx
