Sorry!!!

So sorry for the lack of communication.
It has been a rather emotional couple of days.....trying to get a florist to understand what I wanted with regards a floral tribute for Maggie and also one of my other Sisters sharing some childhood photographs that I hadn't seen since the day they came back from processing at the local chemist about fifty years ago.
This is my most favourite.........

Rhyl in the 1960's.
Maggie is holding the monkey. I love her cheeky little smile.
I am standing at the back with my hand on her twin's shoulder.
As you can see my sister has made the photos into digital scrapbook pages and they look amazing.

Nothing much going on here at the moment....just quiet days still doing what I have to and no more. The house is clean and tidy and everyone has clean clothes and is being fed which are the most important things.
Tomorrow I am going for a coffee with DDIL who I hadn't even clapped eyes on for a fortnight until yesterday when she dropped Ruby off. She's very busy at work.
It will be nice to spend some time with her and the girls.

Hope you are all enjoying the sunshine.

  4. I love the picture and the sentiment is so true...my sister and I often talk about snippets of memories of our childhood that we spontaneously remember. No need to apologize for going quiet, Sheila...please take care of yourself, your family...we will all be here when you feel like coming back. Extra hugs to Ruby and Marlowe...you continue to be in my thoughts.

    1. You hit the nail on the head there Jackie....I am in a horrible time warp. Too late to go back to a time when I still had my sister and too early to move on just yet without her. I wouldn't wish this feeling on anybody.

  6. What a lovely photo Sheila, you all look so happy. There used to be a man with a monkey in Manchester, there is a photo of Mark holding it.

It's hard to convey what you want regarding flowers at times isn't it. I remember standing in the florist crying my eyes out choosing flowers for my grandad.

I hope the arrangements are all coming together. It's an awful time for everybody concerned. xx

    1. I got through to the florist in the end Suzanne but it was a tussle I could well have done without.
Thankfully I am not having to do any of the other arrangements as Maggie had grown up children who are taking care of that-x-

  7. What a wonderful photo, Sheila. You all look so much alike. You're doing the right thing in taking things slowly. There is so much you're going thru and now with all of this terrorism in England my heart is just so sad for you and your beautiful country. God bless and be safe my friend. xoxo
