Day Two Of Sunshine!!!

Wow....we are doing well aren't we?
Another bright sunny day and there is warmth there too.
DD is out in the garden planting up some beautiful pots by the front door. They look amazing.

After a very half hearted offer to cook the lunch...His Nibs is ensconced on the sofa while I am doing the cooking with a little bit of extra banging and slamming around....lol.
I won't have time to go to Dunelm today and I am going to pass on the sewing as I can foresee mistakes if I sew while in this bad mood so I don't know what I will be doing after lunch but I will find something to occupy myself.

There was a visit from the Doodle Family on their way out for the day. Lots of cuddles and kisses from Ruby and a big cheeky smile from Marlowe.

Hope you are all having a lovely day in the sun.

  3. Glad I'm not the only one who stomps around when the rest of the household decides not to "celebrate" Mother's Day!

    1. Thank you Sandy.
It was so lovely to see the Doodles this morning. They were all very excited about their trip to the Adventure Farm-x-

  5. I shopped and cooked our lunch too-my daughter then went off to meet her hubby!! Felt a bit aggrieved to say the least especially as everyone else seemed to be getting taken out. I went for a walk after that but nearly passes out with the heat! Who can believe it-snow on Tuesday scorching today. Catriona

  6. You'll get over it! Been another beautiful day here but not restful at all...too nice a weather to waste...had a really good clean...youngest had to work from 3 until tomorrow afternoon so a small roast lunch...I made a potato pasty and some cake for tea...eldest and her hubby came...cooking vanished! x

    1. Yep....I'll get over it just like I've got over all the other crap.
Glad you had a good day with some sun. I think spring is finally springing although it's dull here this morning.

  7. Oh dear, I can understand how you feel :/ I spent the day alone. OH at work, DD and GD at a dance competition & son lives in Australia so I never hear from him. I refused to do the ironing and had a lovely salad lunch with an individual sized Prossecco as a treat. Tea was re-heated veg shepherds pie left over from Saturday tea with microwaved peas!! I absolutely refused to cook properly :) Hope you enjoyed your day in the end x

    1. I think I probably would have had a nicer day if I had been on my own to be honest.
Good on you for treating yourself and for not giving in and cooking. In this house the roast is more about him anyway as DD and I can take it or leave it. It would just have been nice not to have to do it myself for once seeing as how I cook and everything else the other 364 days a year-x-

    2. Totally agree Sheila. I found myself in the kitchen putting together my own Mother's Day tea while the rest of them were sat on the lazy backsides. I've learned it takes a near death experience to be shown any appreciation and even then only for that year! xx
