I'm sorry but I'm not in the mood for cardmaking today.
This morning both hubby and the dog were attacked by two vicious dogs in the woods where they were walking.
Mr Manic has a nasty bite on his hip but Smudge has fared much worse and has sustained some very nasty injuries to his back leg and throat which the vet says will take several weeks to heal. He is home now and getting lots of cuddles.
Thanks for your visit.

I'm very sorry for the injuries sustained, but I am very glad that it wasn't worse. My dog was attacked last spring by two dogs (in our apartment building hallway of all places) and it is a terrifying and traumatic experience. My heart goes out to you and yours, and I am sending quick healing wishes as well.
ReplyDeletewhat a horrible thing to happen. I hope Mr Manic and Smudge recover soon.
ReplyDeleteOh my goodness - what a dreadful thing to happen. I hope that the dogs owners are prosecuted for having dangerous dogs - your poor Mr Manic and Smudge - I hope that they both soon heal. I expect that the trauma of the incident might take a little longer - wishing them and you all the best
ReplyDeleteOoh Sheila how awful. I do hope your boys are back in fine fettle quicker than you expect. I'm sure they will be very wary for a long time though which is so sad.
ReplyDeleteI thought we were going to be in a similar position last Saturday when a Japanese Akita came flying across the field and dived on the back of my son's dog (a dainty pointer) and then when my little Jack Russell/Dachsy cross nipped in to defend his buddy he got bowled over and pinned under the other dog. To be fair I think the other dog was actually 'playing' but it is so big and was totally out of control. To make matters worse we had my little 3 yr old granddaughter with us but luckily no one sustained any injuries before the dog was hauled off by it's stupid owners. It's so scary when it happens though.
Hugs

Oh no Sheila it’s little wonder you weren’t in the mood for crafting after having to cope with that, it must have been so scary for them both. I really hope Mr Manic and Smudge are on the mend soon and give Smudge a ‘gentle’ hug from me.
ReplyDeleteDoes your OH know who the other dogs belong to so he can report the attack to the police?
