Strawberry Tea!!!

Experienced knitters.........look away now.........lol!!! This is the project I fell in love with in the Handmade Gifts book and I just had to make it despite not being over fond of knitting. Isn't it just too cute?
Unfortunately our teapot is rather fat and the stitches look a little stretched around the middle but nevertheless I love it.
Being the mad woman that I am I have been out and bought a pattern and some wool to knit Ruby a cardigan. The pattern is very simple and the wool is chunky so how wrong can it go?.............Watch this space........lol!!!

No work tomorrow so after a quick browse on the net I am off to snuggle and read. It's quite chilly here so a snuggle is very much in order.

Night night.......and thanks for your visit.

  1. I agree Sheila, it is very cute and .... you are definitely mad!! Lolol!

Actually, your last post sent me into The Works this afternoon after I had done a bank errand. I was running short of time so didn't get too long searching for some good books but I did find one I liked on paper folding. It does include some iris folding which I don't like but there are also some lovely little origami folded pockets and boxes and lots of other things so thankyou. I also got a big roll of self adhesive cork too. No idea yet what I'm going to do with it but I'm sure it'll be just the thing I need one day, Lol!

PS It's very nippy here too and I've turned the heating back on 'cos me nose and toes were freezing.

  2. Wey hey Sheila that is one funky tea cosy!
Quite spooky too as earlier today I received the regular Hobbycraft email and your tea cosy was being displayed and a couple of your books were being advertised for £9.99!

    Great knitting Sheila!

  3. It's the cutest teacosy I've seen all day! (I too was influenced by your post and went to check out the craft books in The Works. Bought the Bags, Tags and Whatever-it-was one. Totally your fault. :-))
