Sunday-A Day Of Rest?!!!

Just a quickie blog this morning and another card from the K & Co/gcd Studios mix.
Another Joy Fold card.

I'm just taking a five minute break from cooking and tidying up as we wait for Ruby and her mummy to arrive. Drinking a well deserved coffee as I have been up since 6am. Mmmm and I thought Sunday was the day for a lie in. Must have been putting the clocks back that threw me.....lol!!!
Right I'll go and put the Chicken and Brocolli Bake together and then get the vacuum out.

Thanks for dropping by.

Halloween Birthday Card!!!

This is the card I have made for DDIL's birthday tomorrow.
The backing papers and image are from a PC Crafter Creatable that I have in my collection but have never used before. I love the colours but don't usually do Halloween.
I printed two images of the boots and added eyelets before layering them with foam pads.
The spider web and spider are hand drawn.......very wobbilily.....lol!!!
Twinkle is as always........Stardust Stickles and I printed the greeting onto a piece of printed background then cut it out with my Quickutz Cookie Cutter circles.
Stars are Paper Cellar.
The card is 8x8.

Well I have had a lovely day today. DD whisked me off to Bridgemere first thing this morning where we had breakfast and then shopped for a few extra bits for the birthday girl. Had a quick look around the Christmas displays which although nice, were nowhere near as fab as they used to do them and it doesn't seem such a big area this year either. However we did pick up some gorgeous tree lights and I got a lovely crafting/cook book.
Nipped into Hobbycraft to see if they had any ivory icing as I am not happy with the white icing I coloured and yay........they had some so I am a happy bunny. Got a couple of magazines but nothing else as after the wedding I need to have a good sort out in the workroom and see exactly what I have got before buying anything else.
Finished off with a nice quiet afternoon making the card and now I am going to polish off me tea and wait for X Factor to start.

Hope you're having a lovely weekend too.

End Of An Era!!!

Well......that's it. Today was my last day at Monks Den Crafts. A very busy day thankfully with no time to get emotional. I think it won't quite sink in that I am not there any more until the busyness of the next week is over. I was just going into my eighth year with Deb so we had been together for a long time.
The lovely ladies on the class today gave me some beautiful flowers....thanks so much.
This time next week the wedding reception will be in full swing and I will be breathing a sigh of relief that all the planning and preparation is over and I can let my hair down and dance the night away.
My blog will go on and hopefully I will be able to share a variety of crafts along with my papercrafting and rubber stamping so keep popping in to see what I am up to.
The next week will probably be a little sparse on the crafting front which I apologise for.
Off to marzipan the wedding cake now then.
Thanks for dropping by.

Creative Sketches-Week 4

Welcome to Creative Sketches Week 4 challenge.
This week we have a holiday theme to go with the sketch. So check out the sketch and then create a card following the sketch with a holiday theme. It can be any holiday you like.

For my 8x8 card this week I have used Basic Grey paper and the stamped images are from a clear stamp set by Papermania.
Colouring has been done using Adirondack ink pads in Stream, Denim, Red Pepper, Cranberry and Lettuce.
I started off adding the twinkle with Distress Rock Candy Stickles but it didn't look right so went over it with Stardust instead.
For the stamped border image I used StazOn Teal Blue.

Thanks for dropping by.

Doin' The Happy Dance!!!

Yes that sound of thumping feet means that the cupcake boxes are finished at last!!!!!
There they are......all 150 of them. I wrapped them up to keep them safe from stray ink and spilt coffee as I couldn't face having to make any more.
Next jobs are to handwrite the vows onto some handmade paper and make them into scrolls and to marzipan and ice the small traditional cake but not tonight I'm afraid as I'm not feeling 100%. I'm just going to wash the tea pots and then loll on the sofa with my book for a while until Apprentice comes on.

Don't know what posting will be like from now until after the wedding. I'm at work tomorrow but doubt if I'll get chance to make anything. Friday we have an all day class. Saturday I have to go out with DD. Sunday DDIL and Miss Doodle are coming for lunch. Monday I have to go get my hair cut. Tuesday is Trial Cupcake Day. Wednesday is actual baking day. Thursday is decorating cupcakes day and start prepping the stuff for all of the salads and Friday is The Big Day. Saturday will be 'Where is Sheila ? Day' and the answer to that will probably be....totally knackered and fast asleep........lol.......but I'll need to be awake later as we are having Miss Doodle for the night. Blimey.....I'm tired just reading that back.
Anyway if I do manage to snap anything interesting and I have a spare minute......you can be sure I'll blog it.

Thanks for your visit today.

Inky Bauble Branch!!!

Tonights card is just a very simple resist technique.
The image by Papermania has been stamped onto gloss card with Versamark ink and dried before brayering with ink from a Big and Juicy pad.
Once matted I have added tiny spots of Stardust Stickles.

Had a lovely class this morning, the ladies gave me a beautiful plant as a leaving gift and I had other visitors coming in to say goodbye.
Deb.....I am so sorry I missed you. Thank you so much for the lovely card.......I can assure you that the ferrets will be well cared for......lol!!!

I thought Deb and I were going to be camping at the shop tonight. We got into the car to come home, Deb started the engine and something went with an almighty bang. Deb phoned the AA and I phoned DD to ask her to come up and wait with us to see if the AA man could fix whatever was wrong. Luckily he could and had finished five minutes after arriving.......it was a clip on the clutch which had come off and thankfully not the actual clutch gone and we were soon on our way home.

Off to watch a couple more episodes of SVU with DD before turning in so I'll say goodnight.

Thanks for your visit.

More From The Vintage Stash!!!

Isn't this bird image beautiful?
I love that it is printed onto acetate and I have fixed it to the front panel of this Joy Fold card with Glossy Accents and then highlighted the berries with the same.
Paper is gcd Studios.
Now I am a bit puzzled by this paper collection Joyful Peace by gcd studios as it is identical to the Silent Night collection by Papermania. How can two companies have the same papers available. I only discovered this when I was looking for paper with a particular shade of red so I got out both collections to compare the colours. Low and behold not only were the colours identical but the patterns were too. Very odd indeedy.

Had a slight trauma today over the icing for the small traditional cake for the top of the cake stand for the wedding. I phoned a cake decorating shop to check if they had ivory ready to roll icing and yes they did but by the time we had travelled up there to buy some they had sold out which made the half hour we sat in a traffic jam more annoying than it would normally have been. I ended up buying white icing and a dye thingy to colour it. I am not over confident about it as I have never decorated this sort of cake before...never mind coloured icing. Wish me luck.

The evening has been better as DD and I had a very simple tea in front of the tv watching Law and Order SVU.
Now she has gone to pick Mr Manic up from work and I am off upstairs to pack a bag for work tomorrow and then I am going to have a long soak in the bath.

Bye for now and thanks for your visit.

I've Been An Inky Minx!!!

Can you believe.......two posts in one day?
I got a couple of hours to myself so had a dibble with some inky stuff and a dabble with some digi scrapping.
For the card I got out my most favourite Christmas stamp ever......the one I call Gerts Poinsettia after the friend who sold it to me and then wanted it back......lol!!!
Inked up piece of gloss card with a Mountain Lake Adirondack pad and then spritzed it with water to smoosh the ink out a bit.
Dried it and then overstamped it with a music stamp by Artemio using the same ink pad and spritzed it again.
More overstamping with a cone and foliage image also Artemio in Starlit Silver Brilliance which gave a very subtle effect.
Poinsettia was stamped onto vellum and the top layer was painted with Artists Pearlising Medium on the front of the image and then embossed from the back with a stylus......a technique known as Raising and Indenting.
Used Nestabilities to cut the mats. Cuttlebug Fairy Alphabet for the word.
Glittered lace was from Hobbycraft.
Hope you like it.
Thought Miss Doodle looked like a snow angel in this pic so used a wintery looking kit in DSA for this page.

So sorry for John going out of X Factor tonight. He wasn't one of my favourites but he wasn't the worst contestant.

Rightio........got some sugarpaste with my name on it now so I'll get off and sort it out.
Thanks for dropping by.

Another Vintage One!!!

I know I shouldn't say this but.........I love this card.
Again I have used the K & Co elements but with a little diecutting and some stamping.
The background paper is Basic Grey.......my last piece....sob!!!
Then I have used Nestabilities for the shaped mat inking the cream layer with Antique Linen and Vintage Photo before stamping with a music image by Artemio in Memories Soft Gold.
The poinsettia is raised on foam pads and the Dec 25th acetate image is adhered with Glossy Accents.

I've had a good tidy upstairs this morning and done a couple of other jobs that needed doing. This afternoon I just have to finish a project for my very last class at Monks Den on Friday. Talk about going out with a bang........it's for eleven people.....lol!!!

Was a bit underwhelmed with X Factor last night......although Matt was amazing.........he could sing the phone book and I would vote for him.........and Cher was fabulous too.
Didn't go a whole bundle on the Wastrel doing Jungle Book.....how naff was that. Belle Amie just don't hack it for me as a group and does the world really and truly need another boyband......mmmm... I could live without it.

Anyway.......Mr Manic has cooked the most wonderful roast lunch and I am off to attack mine. I skipped brekkie this morning so am rather hungry.

Thanks for comimg to visit today.

Vintage Christmas!!!

Needed a bit of time away from the wedding stuff this morning so I pulled out a box of K & Co Christmas embellishments which I want to get used up this year.
The background paper is from a luscious My Minds Eye stack that I bought last year and all the other embellishments are K & Co except for the snowflake which is diecuts and a punch edged with ink and twinkled with Frosted Lace Stickles.

Now I have to pin up my hair and don my apron for some serious business in the kitchen before I can go back up and see if I can finish the cupcake boxes. After X Factor tonight I will be back to the sugarpaste hearts......150 down........150 to go......yay!!!

Thanks for visiting.

Have A Heart!!!

Well......two weeks today it will all be over bar the shoutin'.....as they say.
So in ever so slight panic mode today I cracked on with the boxes and the finished box now holds 110.......only forty to go....thank goodness.
I got a bit chilly upstairs so came down and started on cutting the sugarpaste hearts.......now that is a job I could quite happily have gone my whole life without doing and not missed it...lol!!! I've never worked with it before.....it feels disgusting and I was getting in a right old mess with it until I had a bit of a lightbulb moment and nipped upstairs to fetch a new Poundland non-stick mat. Things are going much better now but I shan't half be glad when it's done.

I'm dispatching hubby to Ikea tomorrow to pick up some large glass bowls for the salads while I crack on and get other jobs done. Hope he gets them all back in one piece....lol!!!

Anyway........back to the sugarpaste.
Thanks for visiting.

Creative Sketches-Week 3

Sorry I'm a bit later posting this today. I didn't want to post before the Creative Sketches blog put up the challenge and it hadn't before I went out to work this morning.

This week we have a sketch with an added technique so go and check out the brief, make a card and then go back and add a link so that we can all visit and admire.

For my card this week I have used paper by Cherry Arte, stamps by TPC and Coredinations card embossed in the Dot Matrix folder then sanded.
The birthday word stamp is not on the robot stamp set....it is from my stash and I think is by Debbi Moore. The buzz word is on the stamp set.

Thanks for dropping by.

Poisettia Easel!!!

Todays card is made with an image from one of my PC Crafter Creatables which I had printed out ages ago and not done anything with. I have cut out several layers and decoupaged them although I couldn't face cutting around the foliage on the very first layer so just skimmed around it with my scissors and then knocked the stark white back with some DI in Antique Linen and Vintage Photo.
The greeting is Papermania and stamped onto a random piece of paper from the bit box then layered onto a piece of gold card edged with a Martha Stewart punch.

I've had an absolutely fab day today. Got up early and got tidied up ready for the royal visit then got stuck into things in the kitchen and made homemade soup with cheese scones for lunch and a sponge cake. Managed to get three loads of washing done and then DDIL and I cut out the hearts I had printed for the favour bags so that is another job off the wedding list. Went upstairs after they had gone with every intention of doing some more boxes and got sidetracked by the poinsettia card.......lol!!! Oh well I shall press on with them this weekend as we have a fairly quite couple of days.

Ruby Doodle was in fine form today. She has had me in stitches with her antics and her giggling. She had some of the soup for her lunch and even a bit of cheese scone the little minx. Her favourite was the tiny piece of cake that Grandma snuck to her......that went down very well and I was rewarded with the most gorgeous smile.
Oooooh I am so going to love looking after her.

Anyway.......it's Apprentice night tonight so I am off to shove the dog off the sofa........don't worry I will let him back on when I have got myself comfortable......lol!!!

Thanks for dropping by today.

Not A Lot............!!!

...........to show you today.
I have worked on a new project prototype at the shop today but it's not fit to be seen as a finished project tonight. I need to tidy up a few details and make one or two in different papers etc before showing them to you.

I'm off to bed in a minute as I have a busy day tomorrow......HRH Princess Ruby will be in da house and I need to be up early and have a tidy up as the housework has been a bit neglected in some areas this weekend due to box making.

Thanks for your visit.

Traditional Christmas!!!

Just had to take a break from the boxes today and do a bit of stamping and inking for a change.
Stamps are Artemio.
All images are stamped with StazOn Jet Black and sponged with DI's in Antique Linen, Shabby Shutters and Barn Door.......oooh actually did I use Shabby Shutters or Peeled Paint......I think it was Peeled Paint. It must be them boxes addling my brain....lol!!!
The card isn't quite square as I had to trim a quarter of an inch off the bottom for the images to sit right.
A tiny bit of twinkle on the berries with Stardust Stickles to finish off.

I feel like I am going stir crazy. I've been upstairs since 8 am and have only just come down for a bit of tea...........then I need to go back up to tidy up and pack my bag for work tomorrow. Crikey I can't believe I'll be leaving a week on Friday. I've been with Deb for nearly eight years. I have to admit though that I am really looking forward to being at home and looking after Ruby.

Well I am off to eat my tea and drink a well earned cuppa.
Thanks for dropping by today.

Little Boxes-Big Headache!!!

Just a quick post tonight as I have been upstairs since 7:30am dealing with the cupcake boxes and am ready for a veg in front of the telly. My back and shoulders feel like I have been beaten with a big stick but at least the end is in sight. There are now forty finished boxes and the rest just need assembly as we have done all of the boring stuff like creasing and DST'ing. I have creased....using the bone folder 1040 times  and cut 1040 flaps,DD has applied 1040 pieces of double sided tape. I have also assembled a good few of the belly bands. Tomorrow should see a few more finished boxes behind us but I don't think they will all get done as I had hoped.

Card is very simple I know. It's one I did the other day  and uses the Cuttlebug Christmas Tree folder which I don't particularly like as an embossed image on a card but I do like the pattern for embossing smaller triangles of card to look like trees.
Blue background is Bazzill Swiss Dot.
Sentiment is Papermania.
Star is Paper Cellar.
Twinkle is Stickles Stardust.

Thanks for dropping by.

Winter Scene!!!

Todays card is just a simple monochrome effect using stamps from Creative Expressions and Midnight Blue StazOn ink with a bit of Stickles for twinkle.
All the circles are diecut with various dies. The scalloped circle and the larger plain circle are Sizzix and the two smaller are Quickutz.
Originally I was doing this same card in vintage colours and then spotted some lovely navy card and changed tack completely. I must admit that I am a lot happier with this version.

I've had a busy couple of days. Yesterday was busy at home and then today I have been out to Derby shopping with DD for her outfit for the wedding. I picked up a top to go with a skirt I have as I am not a hundred percent happy with the dress I bought.
Nipped in to Paperchase for a pack of their handmade paper to write the wedding vows on which with then be rolled and tied with ribbon. Bumped in to DDIL and Ruby Doodle in Westfields and had a hug and a kiss. On the way back to the car we popped in to Reams where I managed to get the Candelabra stamp which Papermania bought out last year and some very lush ribbon which matches the gcd Studios Christmas papers I have beautifully.
Got back about 2pm and DD and I went straight up to the workroom and whaled in to the cupcake boxes to try and get them finished. We made good inroads into them but not quite finished the lot. I want them done and dusted by Monday night so that I can crack on with other jobs that need doing.

Now it's time for a bit of me time watching X Factor and generally vegging out for a bit........thank goodness.....lol!!!

So I'll say......bye for now.
Thanks for dropping in.

Creative Sketches-Week 2

This week over at Creative Sketches we have a colour challenge for you.
I don't have any of the Stampin' Up colours named in the challenge but I think that's good because it made me go through my stash of cardstock and find colours that would do. Not quite happy with the blue as it's a tad too dark.
Now normally I wouldn't dream of putting these colours together but that is what is so fab about these challenges........it makes you think outside of your box.
So pop over and get the details, make a card and then go back and leave a link for us all to visit and admire your work.

Stamps used for this card are-:
Background flourish-Fancy Pants.
Flower-Free on a magazine.
Flourish behind the flowers is Tim Holtz diecut.
Sentiment-Unknown

Night Off!!!

Played hookey last night and took a night off for a DVDfest of Law and Order until 2am today. I am so totally hooked on this series and can't stop watching it. It's not like I haven't got a thousand jobs on my list that need doing but hey.......it's nice to be naughty.....lol!!!

The card is similar to the Santa card I did for the Creative Sketches challenge last week......just on a square card and without the ribbon and sentiment.
Paper used is gcd Studios.
Stamp is Papermania.
Twinkle is Distress Stickles-Antique Linen.

I've had a busy day upstairs today finishing projects that were started at the weekend and making a couple of new things and now I am cooky duty as we are having a proper tea tonight. So I had better go and stir the gravy before it welds to the bottom of the pan...lol!!!

I'll be back tomorrow with my entry for this weeks Creative Sketches challenge.

Thanks for dropping in today.

Winter Blues!!!

Just a quick post today.
Had quite a traumatic morning out shopping with hubby for a suit for the wedding. Could have done with a valium and a lie down after that but got straight to work on another set of PC Crafter Christmas cards.
Background is Coredinations run through a 5x5 embossing folder and then sanded.
Images have been twinkled as always with Stardust Stickles and embellished with a punched snowflake and gem.

I am off to have tea in front of the tv watching yet more Law and Order with DD as a little treat to myself before I have to go and pack my bag for work tomorrow.
Tara for now.

Country Style Christmas!!!

Every year I like to make at least one set of cards using my Creatables from PC Crafter and this year is no exception.
I've made a set of six so far with these gorgeous images.
I printed two of each picture to cut and layer adding Glossy Accents to the holly berries and ornament and then various Stickles glitter glue for added twinkle.
The background paper is Making Memories and I have used a Martha Stewart edge punch to fancy up the lower edge of the mat.

It's a busy housey type day here at Manic Towers. Mr Manic is cooking lunch and I am pottering about tidying and doing laundry.
Once I have finished my jobs I am off upstairs until X Factor time.
I am hoping for Katie Wastrel to go home tonight but knowing my luck she will stay to annoy me for another week......lol!!!

Thanks for dropping by.

Super Fast!!!

Having had major problems with the laptop I have been using downstairs, Mr Manic......sick of hearing my unladylike mutterings decided that he would buy me a new computer. That's what we have been up to today. We went out and bought it plus he bought me a beautiful new corner desk to put it on. It's all set up now and is a trillion times faster than the old laptop.
So the back room at Manic Towers will be getting a bit of a makeover before Christmas. The tumble dryer has gone back out to the shed and we are going to remove the nine foot long worktop that used to be my desk when this was my workroom. In will come the dining table and a small sideboard and I will also make some curtains so that it looks more like part of the house than the local dumping ground. This will leave a lovely biggish area at one end of the kitchen for Ruby to play in when she is here.

I've done no work upstairs yet today so unfortunately nothing to share but I will have tomorrow.
Yesterday I inserted and bagged about sixty cards.........all found stuffed in various baskets and boxes around my workroom. Most I had forgotten making....lol.....so that has filled my box up a bit.

Well my lovely hubby has just put the kettle on so I am off to grab my space in the front row for X Factor.

Thanks for dropping by.

Simply Christmas!!!

The fog has hung around all day today. Pressing on the windows and creating the perfect 'snuggle in the craftroom' day. So up went the heater, on went the kettle and out came the Christmas papers.
Todays cards are very simple and use up the last of the Basic Grey paper in this design from the Figgy Pudding collection (blue card) and the last of the pink snowflake paper which I think is Crafts House.
The die cut snowflakes use the following dies......large-Cuttlebug, medium-Sizzix and small-Quickutz.
I've made twelve of these in various designs and have impressed the heck out of myself by putting in the inserts and packing them on the same day they were made.
Really I should have been making more cupcake boxes but feeling a little fragile and in some pain this morning I found that job a little daunting and have put it off until tomorrow.
Desk is relatively tidy for a change so I am going back up to do a bit more.

In keeping with the 'simple' theme today I have just had the laziest tea ever. Tesco Finest Cheese Bread, a small chunk of lower fat cheese, some celery and some chutney which I made last week. Apple with ginger and chilli. Oh my word it is just gorgeous....even if I do say so myself......lol!!!

Right I am off upstairs for a bit longer.

Thanks for dropping by.

Creative Sketches Launch!!!

Today sees the launch of a new challenge blog
There will be a mixture of all kinds of challenges from sketches to colours and techniques.
Why not pop over and have a look then join in with the fun.
You can also click on the links in my sidebar to see how my team mates have interpreted this weeks challenge.

My card for this week is based on a sketch.
The card blank has been inked with Distress Inks in Antique Linen and Tea Dye then stamped with my lovely Christmas script stamp from Rubber Stampede.
The main image from Inkadinkado is on a die cut circle sponged with the same inks.
Matted and layered onto gold card and a small doiley which has been inked and embellished with Antique Linen Distress Stickles.
Flower is made from two punches by Woodware.

Hope you come to play.

Glittered Robin!!!

For such a simple looking card I have used an awful lot of stuff in the making of it. My desk looks like the wreck of the Hesperus.
Background is white card sponged with Dusty Concord Distress Ink and over stamped in Royal Purple StazOn using tiny star and snowflake stamps all put together on one block from a set of Papermania clear stamps.
The background for the robin is sponged with Broken China Distress Ink and the robin is stamped in Jet Black StazOn.
Once the panel had dried I applied double sided adhesive sheet and then irridescent glitter.
The robin and the greeting are from a set of unmounted rubber by Creative Expressions.
I think I will do this one in tomorrow mornings class.

At work yesterday I was completely gobsmacked when I got a telephone call from a lovely Australian lady called Jennifer. I hasten to add that she wasn't calling from Australia. She is over here to visit her new grandaughter.
Jennifer wanted to let me know that she was a huge fan of my blog and had been visiting for over two years. How nice was that?
We had a fabulous chat about all sorts of things for about an hour and I think we could have gone on all day.
It made me feel very humble to know that my work and a bit of waffling brings such pleasure to someone. It just makes it all worthwhile doesn't it?

Whoooooo......The Apprentice is back tonight. I am off to bag a place on the sofa for that and then I need to go back up and finish a couple of jobs before bed.

Thanks for your visit today.

Pink And Girly...Eeeewwww!!!

Oh this is sooooo not me is it? I do love these images though and this one was sitting on my desk from the other week when I was having a practice with my Pro Markers so I thought I had better do something with her.
The image is from a Kanban stamp set, the greeting is Penny Black and the papers are Papermania.
After colouring the image I used Cotton Candy Stickles to embellish the hairband, jumper and socks. I also added some to the flower centres.
I shall make a few more cards like this when I am not up to my ears in hearts and cupcakes......lol!!!

Today I have had to let Deb know that I will be leaving Monks Den Crafts at the end of October.
After months of discussions I have decided to stay at home and take care of Ruby when her Mum goes back to work after the wedding.
It was a hard decision to make but it's the right decision and I am so looking forward to being a hands on Grandma.
I will have my little angel for three days a week to start off with so plenty of time left for crafting and I may even get that damned wallpapering finished before Christmas this year.

It's pretty chilly here tonight so I am snuggled up by the heater and wrapped in my blanket. I think I'll make a nice cuppa and then do a bit of blog hopping before bedtime.

Thanks for your visit today.

Back Again!!!

Ooo'er......picture is a bit blurrier than it looked on the upstairs computer but as the picture of a card I made looked even worse I am going with this one. ETA....pic now replaced with a slightly less blurry one.
The paper is a bit past it's sell by date for me but I thought it made quite a pretty tote bag. Inside are six C6 cards which at the moment only have their paper layers on but I felt the urge to do something I didn't 'have' to do before I started on the job list.
So paper and flowers are Papermania and the flower is finished with a Card Candy circle touched up with a bit of Tea Dye Distress Stickles.
The card I will post tomorrow after I retake the photo.

One job done from the wedding list today. I printed off all of the hearts for the top of the boxes. It's a good job I hadn't done them all as DDIL decided she wanted her full name on them and not the shortened version so I redid that in Digital Scrapbook Artist. It took forever to print them as the printer didn't like the card I was using. It had to have a gentle shove to help it through and it kept feeding straight through. Took about four attempts for each sheet and I was getting quite stressed by the time I'd done. Never mind....all done now and just need cutting out which I will start later after a bath while I watch something on IPlayer.

Mr Manic is taking me out on Saturday to buy a new computer for downstairs. I really dislike this laptop or maybe it's the Vista I don't like but whatever it is I won't have to put up with it much longer...yay!!!

Righty Ho........a nice hot bath is calling me so I'll get off.
Thanks for dropping in.
Sheila-x-

AWOL!!!

Oh me poor neglected blog.
All I can say is......it's been a mad weekend.
Saturday we were supposed to collect HRH Princess Ruby at lunchtime but we got a call at 7am to ask if we could collect her as DDIL had been up all night with a stomach bug and was very poorly. So off we trotted to Derby and picked her up with all her paraphenalia. A removal van would have been more use than a car.....lol!!!
By early afternoon DDIL had recovered sufficiently to attend her hen party thank goodness.
We think Ruby might have had a touch of the said stomach bug as she was very fractious for most of the afteroon and evening and finally slept from 8pm to 5:30am.
She was fine on Sunday. Lots of smiling and giggling.
The hen night was fabulous according to all concerned and judging by the photos it certainly was.
Sunday afternoon I was totally wrecked and slept for about five hours and then vegged for the rest of the day watching X Factor and then some more Law and Order.............do not get me started on the judges choices on X Factor..........I am hopping mad at some of the acts they let go but at least Matt Cardle is through.....yay!!!
Katie Wassel is this years Danyl methinks. I can't stand her but I'm sure some people will like her.

Anyway I am off upstairs where I haven't even been since Friday and hopefully I will be back later with something to show.
Bye for now
